What People Say
When our shuttle started driving down into to Lake Atitlan I immediately knew I needed to ride these roads. Looked up motorcycling on Lake Atitlan and found this company. The next day, I rented one of their Dr200’s. I wasn’t sure if it was going to be powerful enough for me, but I found it to be just right. The perfect balance between power and weight. Anyways, I had an awesome time, and this company couldn’t have been more helpful. Big thanks to Leif, Vicky and the whole team for helping to make this all possible.
That was a great trip. We choose the circle around Lake Atitlan tour. It took us about 8 hours. One of the most beautiful moto trips of my life. First we rode up a dirt road, and the view was like the most beautiful. Leif was an excellent tour guide. He lived in Sweden, so he speaks Swedish, that was very cool. He knows a lot about the lake, and a great guide. Tack Leif!
Our Practice Field
Located in the heart of Panajachel, just 2 minutes from the intersection of Calle Santander & Calle Principal is a hard packed dirt open field. The consistency of the dirt offers the perfect conditions under which to learn to ride safely. The size of the filed allows us to practice shifting into 2nd & even up to 3rd gear.
I’d always wanted to learn how to ride a proper motorcycle, but for many reasons never got around to doing so back in the US. Having the ability to safely ride a motorcycle enormously enhances one’s experience in and around the Lake Atitlan region — cars are less common and often insufficient here. Finding Leif was a godsend. Not only is he a native English speaker — I believe he also speaks Norwegian, Japanese, and French — but he is also a weathered motorcyclist who has the knowledge and patience to teach beginner riders how to safely ride and enjoy the beautiful landscape around the lake. The whole experience was absolutely amazing. Would highly recommend Leif for any and all needs while in Atitlan, especially for Motorcycle instruction.
